Firstly, a very big thank-you to everyone who has visited us over the years and for the contribution they have made to the National Gardens Scheme. This will be our 22nd year of opening.
The garden and meadow at Rustling End change throughout the year, so we vary our opening times from year to year so that our regular visitors are able to see the garden change with each visit.
The garden is open on two occasions in 2024, in aid of the National Gardens Scheme (more commonly known as 'The Yellow Book').
We are opening during one week in May, on a Wednesday afternoon and a Friday evening, admission is £5.00 for adults (children and babes in arms are free).
The Wednesday afternoon opening is May 15th from 2.00pm to 5.30pm. The Friday evening opening is May 17th from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.
On the Wednesday afternoon, we will be serving teas.
On the Friday evening, we will be serving wine and soft drinks.
At our openings, there will be plants for sale in aid of the charities supported by the NGS. Many of the plants are raised by Julie at the cottage, and larger, more mature examples can usually be seen around the garden. This is always a good opportunity to pick up something a little different.
There is plenty of parking available in our meadow, but please take care in the surrounding lanes as they are a little narrow in places.
Sorry, but we don't allow dogs (or other animals, especially rabbits) in the gardens.
To find us, take the B656 north from Codicote or south from Hitchin. Going north from Codicote, after 1 mile turn left into 'Three Houses Lane' (going south from Hitchin take the B656 towards Codicote, travel through Langley then turn right into 'Three Houses Lane'). Then take the first turning on the right to Rustling End. Rustling End Cottage is the second house on the left-hand side of the lane. Click here for a map - if this doesn't help, our postcode is SG4 8TD.
